Obituary of Robert J. Neals

Robert Neals, 61, of the Lake Hopatcong section of Jefferson, prior resident of the River Styx Cove section of Hopatcong for 19 years, passed away on Monday September 14, 2015. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Jean and dependents Stella and Deacon. Bob was an employee for 15 years with the Sparta Township Parks and Recreation. Prior to that, he worked as a licensed exterminator with Perma Kill in Flanders and a Senior Systems Analyst with TRW of Fairfield. An avid fisherman, both freshwater and deep sea, Bob holds the NJ State Record for the largest Musky at 42lbs., 13 oz. which he caught while ice fishing in Monksville Resevoir in January of 1997. Bob enjoyed fly tying and rod building. Bob was a kind man who will be remembered for helping others and will be missed by many. Bob's Life Celebration will include a memorial service on Saturday October 3, 2015 at 10:00am at the chapel on the grounds of Pleasant Hill Cemetery, 85 Pleasant Hill Road, Chester, NJ followed by interment of cremated remains and graveside prayers.
