Obituary of Pasquale DeMarino

Pasquale "Pat" DeMarino, 84, of Hopatcong, NJ passed away Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Compassionate Care Hospice, Dover. Pasquale was born July 23, 1931 in Port Morris. He was the son of the late Roosevelt P. and the late Dorothy (Ciardi) DeMarino. He lived in Port Morris prior to moving to Hopatcong many years ago. Pasquale was the owner and operator of Family Amusement of Ledgewood and also ran the Arcade at Bertrand Island for many years and was the Democratic Party County Chairman in the 70's. He spent the winters in Florida for the past 15 years. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family. He enjoyed Saratoga Race Track in New York and Golfstream Park in Florida. He was part of the "Usual Suspects". He also served in the Air Force during the Korean war from 1951 to 1955. He is survived by his loving companion and wife: Glenna (Nardone) DeMarino. He is survived by her children Kim Selimo and her husband Dr. Samuel, Vicky Winkelman and her husband Glenn, and her son Michael V. Scugoza. He is survived by their grandchildren Michael and his wife Kristin, Dr. Joseph and his fiancee Dr. Paulette, Samantha, Lisa and her husband Jim, Amanda, Christina and also a great grandson on the way. He is also survived by many loving cousins and close friends. Pasquale's Life Celebration will include visitation on Sunday, August 16th from 3:00 to 7:00pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing.. There will be a Mass of Christian burial on Monday, August 17 at 10:30 am at St. Jude Church, 40 Maxim Drive, Hopatcong. All are welcome to meet directly at church for mass. Interment will follow at Stanhope Union Cemetery, Mt. Olive Twp. In lieu of flowers please consider memorial donations to the St. Jude Church Maintenance Fund, 40 Maxim Drive, Hopatcong, NJ 07843.
